Hua Hin

Hin is a district in the Prachuab Khiri Khan Province located 195 kilometers
from Bangkok and 90 kilometers from the provincial capital. On the western
side of the Gulf of Thailand, Hua Hin is a comfortable 3 hours journey
by road from Bangkok.
Thailand 's oldest beach resort, Hua Hin was established in the 1920's
and quickly become popular with the country's social cognoscenti. The
construction of single-track railway line from Bangkok ensured its accessibility
and popularity with a wider section of the population. But it was the
resort 's royal connection, which has given Hua Hin a special character
of its very own.
In the early 20th century, King Rama VII built a summer palace at the
resort, and shortly after, in 1928, King Rama VII built the Klai Kangwon
palace (far from worries) which remains until this day as an official
royal residence.
Hua Hin continued to develop in its own leisurely way, both as a genteel
resort with the added attraction of 6 golf courses, and as a fishing port,
built essentially on wooden piers. The colonial style Railway Hotel, built
by the state Railway of Thailand in 1923, set the mode and unique atmosphere
which was to characterize Hua Hin for the next several decades. Many regular
visitors built their own beachfront summer homes to the south along the
curving sandy bay, enjoying leisurely family weekends in a resort which
had maintained its unique identity. Ideal as a family resort and a haven
of genteel relaxation for the traveler who enjoys a more traditional holidaying

Hua Hin
A famous resort well known by Thai people for a length of time for her
beautiful beach, white sand, clear blue sea, fresh air and tranquil atmosphere.
Klai Kang Won Palace
 A
place fit for a King in the summer. The palace was built by King Rama
VII, a European Style comprise of marble and teak. The palace surrounded
with flower plants and pergola. Prince Iddhidehsarn Kridakara, an architectural
graduate from the Ecole Des Beaux-Arts in France and the director of the
Department of Fine Arts, designed and supervised the palace construction.
Preparation of the site began in October 1926. On September 21, 1927 a
royal mansion and other buildings were constructed. A celebration to mark
the completion of the royal mansion was held on 10-11 April 1929 and other
structures were added until 1933.
Hua Hin Railway Station
 Built
by King Rama VI. The station is beautiful. One of the prominent places
of Amphur Hua Hin.
Khao Takiab - Khao Krailas
6 Km's south of Hua Hin district, there are hills and beaches. There is
a temple on the hill, when you are at the top of hill you can see a view
of the surrounding areas.
Suan Son Beach
9 Km's south of Hua Hin there is a beautiful beach, pine trees and a tranquil
atmosphere. Bungalows are also available for rent.
Pa-La-U Waterfalls
63 Km's west of Hua Hin District, in Tambol Nong Plub. There is a beautiful
waterfall surrounded with forest, which is part of the Kang Krajarn National
Park. Tents and cabins are available for rent at the park headquarter.
Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park
The National Park comprises of sea, Beach Island, meadow and wild animals
like antelopes, languor and teals. The prominent view is the calcification
hills line with different size and complicated. Now The National Park
headquarter is a Tourist Center which provide guest house, camping, light
and water.
Pharya Nakhon Cave
Became a favorite park when a royal pavilion was built is honor of King
Rama V visit in 1896. It is located 500 meters from the fishing village
of Ban Bang Pu inside the Khao Sam Roi Yod National park.
Sai and Kaew Cave
Also is in Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park. There are underworld time capsules.
These ancient caverns have petrified waterfall, and monstrous limestone
domes with dangle stone tentacles.
Wong Pla (Many kinds of fish)
The first Wong Pla stays at Bo-Fai Temple before arrived at Hua Hin 5
Kilometers. (Bo-Fai Temple opposite the Royal Garden Village Hotel).
Khao Hin Lek Fai
Khao Hin Lek Fai stays in Hua Hin areas from the west of Municipality
of Hua Hin. Khao Hin Lek Fai near Railway stations Golf Hua Hin. It´s
peak of 162 meters above sea level. You can see a view of Hua Hin when
you stay at Khao Hin Lek Fai. Now this place will adjust for tourists.
The king Rama VII monument stays at Khao Hin Lek Fai. Shop and Restaurants

Food
There are many restaurants that serve all kinds of food like Thai food,
European food, Chinese food, Indian food and much more for you to enjoy.
The seafood are fresh and fairly cheap here in Hua Hin.

There are many hotels in Hua Hin and there are two 5-star hotels, "Hilton"
and "Sofitel Central Hotel". But if you like a more family get
together kind of place we do highly recommend you to look into some of
the Guesthouses, which has services like hotel style.
Shopping

are many places in Hua Hin to go for shopping, but the one most of the
people are talking about is the Night Market. The Night Market is in downtown
Hua Hin near Chat Chai market area most of the shops will be on the sidewalk,
and they start around 6:00 PM It is the kind of place for bargain hunting,
and it is a lot of fun to go there.
Custom Tailor
In Hua Hin they do have many good quality shops of Custom Tailors for
men and ladies. This area has become known for it´s high-quality
workmanship in Custom Tailoring. The House of Thipurai Fashions is one
of the best well known for outstanding quality and has been for so many
years. The house of Thipurai Fashions is opposite the Hilton Hua Hin Hotel.
You may want to have some high-quality clothing made just for you.
Thai Massage
After a nice round of golf or you might have been enjoying shopping, you
may want to try the Thai Massage. There is a lot of places giving you
a very good Thai Massage. You can ask at the hotel's front desk where
you stay for more information about Thai Massage.
Entertainment
Let's start with Bars & Restaurants. Several bars & restaurants
are under Swedish, German, Italian, French, British or Canadian government.
As you can see this has become an international style. You can enjoy the
discotheque in the hotel like Hilton Hua Hin Hotel or soft and easy listening
music with live band in the cocktail lounge of some hotels. There is a
road called "Soi Bintaban" near the Hilton Hua Hin Hotel where
you can go for a drink at a bar, bar beer or pub and enjoy talking to
Thai girls. There is also some places offering shows like Thai Boxing,
cabaret, and traditional Thai dance and much more. Please check the local
News Paper for the place and time for the show.
